Reinstatement

« Back to Glossary Index

Reinstatement is the process of restoring an administratively dissolved LLC to active status. To reinstate, you typically must file overdue reports, pay fines, and submit a reinstatement application. Once approved, your LLC regains its legal standing and authority to operate. Some states impose time limits on reinstatement, after which you must form a new LLC. Staying compliant helps you avoid the hassle and expense of reinstatement.
