Annual report

« Back to Glossary Index

An Annual Report is a document that most states require LLCs to file each year to keep company information current. It usually includes details like the business address, names of members or managers, and the registered agent’s information. Some states charge a filing fee, while others make it free. Filing on time is critical because missing deadlines can lead to fines or even administrative dissolution of your LLC. The report does not usually include financial information—its purpose is to keep state records accurate.
